From environmentally sustainable design, to responsible sourcing, The Merchant River Cruise & Restaurant shows its commitment to care through action.

Our kitchen buys only clean ingredients directly from local farmers, fishermen, and artisans across Vietnam, and applies slow cooking techniques to honor natural flavors and craft meals that are equally delicious and beneficial. All dietary restrictions are catered to, so guests can enjoy peace of mind while savoring the moment.

Product sourcing

The Merchant sources hyper-local ingredients for its kitchen, and supports responsible food producers within Vietnam.

Waste management

We use recycled glass bottles and minimize plastics in operations. We also compost food waste and use biodegradable cleaning supplies.

Mindful workplace

Our team receives mindfulness training from Lumina Wellbeing, and benefits from mindful activities and a  supportive work environment.

Project partnerships

We integrate our events with the local community, and collaborate with sustainable partners for design, lighting, and architecture.
